Invictus
Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of Circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of Chance My head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find me,...

More stuff… New Brembo brake pads and oil filter kit on order from www.chicagobmwmotorcycle.com. Their prices are usually 20% off the BMW MSRP and their shipping rates are pretty reasonable. The brake pads I bought off Ebay were complete garbage. DO NOT BUY AFTERMARKET BRAKE PADS OFF EBAY. They didn’t fit on the brake caliper correctly and I damn near fried them on one test ride...

I ordered a K&N air filter today. The stock filter is this pathetic paper thing that absorbs oil and doesn’t look like it’s gonna last long in Alaska. Because it’s a part that goes on a BMW, it naturally had to be special ordered, so I’ll be picking it up some time next week. Although it’s another hit on the wallet, I’m sure my engine will be happier.

I know I know, I haven’t been blogging lately. That doesn’t mean I haven’t been up to anything productive, though. Here’s the update: I’ve been studying for the bar and working on my motorcycle. Regarding the bike, I’ve added a Dakar front fender mudguard, replaced the stock forks with the Dakar forks, added a longer steel braided front brake line in order...

School... is out... of session!
It’s official. I had my last day of class today! I am no longer a student. I still have to take finals, but no more classroom instruction. Done. Done. Done.

Some needed clarification
It has been brought to my attention that the term “armchair adventurer” I used in one of my earlier blogs needs to be clarified. There are, in fact, two types of armchair adventurers. The first kind is the kind I was targeting in my blog. This is the type that watches or reads about people that do adventurous things and sits there on his couch and criticizes them and talks about...
This probably wont make sense to anyone. Just wanted to jot down some thoughts. Another weekend down. L.R. Good weekend. Finals getting closer. Tired. Cute cat, cement rhino. Graduation too close. Nervous about “real life.” Nervous about moving, moving again, Alaska, sloth bears - not really, thoughts, two wheels, cold rain, moving again, more rain, more thoughts. Lots of...
